Meta optics is an emerging technology with the compelling potential to be a powerful tool for optical engineering. It uses subwavelength nanostructures to alter light phase for purposes such as focusing light like a conventional lens, and it can be integrated with a sensor to reduce both the size and cost of the optical system.

In this 30-minute talk, we¡¯ll present a wide-angle metalens design on a millimeter scale. You¡¯ll learn how to use the CODE V Meta Optic Design (MOD) feature to optimize meta-atom parameters using ray-based methods and how to transfer meta-atom parameters to RSoft MetaOptic Designer for further optimization.
